Where do I log in to view my account?
store.bluewood.com/login or in the top right corner of our website.
What do I need to buy my season pass/ticket/everything else?
- A credit card with sufficient funds on it. (Btw, we have a payment plan this year!)
- A photo of you (see next question about the mullet wigs being encouraged).
- The birthday + address of the individual(s) that you’re buying passes for. If it’s for yourself… hopefully you know your birthday.-
- If you’re a college student, you need a valid institutional ID.
- If you’re a current or retired military service member, a valid military ID
Will there be a photo on my pass?
We need a photo on file. However, it will not be printed on your pass. It will be associated with your online account, and your RFID pass that will come up on the lift operator’s scanner screen. Be sure to have a photo ready for each guest at checkout. You can still take a silly photo, but be sure that you don’t have goggles on and that your face is identifiable. Mullet wigs encouraged.
Can I change the photo I uploaded?
Yes. Log in to your account profile and select the ‘Change Profile Image’ button, or, scroll to the bottom of the profile page and click on the guest image you would like to change.
Will my old login work?
Sorry, no. The new system will not recognize your current login credentials. You’ll create an account to make your initial purchase. Plan for +/- 5 minutes to create an account.
Can I change the date of my day ticket?
Yes, log into your account and select lift access. The date next to any unused Day Tickets under the account holder’s name should be editable. If you are having problems online, email support@bluewood.com and we will get you squared away.

How do I redeem the 3-Pack Day Tickets so they’re loaded onto my account?
Step 1: 3 voucher codes to redeem the 3-pack will be emailed to you once you complete your purchase.
Step 2: Go online to store.bluewood.com/register and create your online account (unless already created, then log in).
Once logged in
- Select the day that you want to visit.
- Select how many tickets you want to redeem on that day from the drop-down menu.
- Click Add to Cart.
- A pop-up will ask you to enter the voucher code provided via email.
- Click Complete. Your account is now loaded with your free day ticket!
Step 3:
- On your first trip up the mountain, you will head to Guest Services on the 3rd floor and provide your photo ID.
- You will then be provided with a reusable RFID card that can be used across the entire mountain for any purchases and can head straight to the lift!
Gifting 3-Pack Day Tickets?
Your lucky recipient(s) will follow this process to redeem the codes on their account:

Lessons
Do you offer private skiing or snowboarding lessons?
Certainly! Bluewood offers private lessons for both kids and adults. Private lessons provide personalized instruction tailored to your specific needs and skill level. You can find more information about private lessons on the Bluewood website under the “Instructions” section at bluewood.com/lessons
What is the group size for Skyliner Kids Lessons?
Lessons are typically groups of 4-7 kids with two instructors to help take care of the group’s needs. The first day you get beginner area access, this means our learning hill EZ Rider Carpet Hill. However, if the instructor(s) feel confident that the group is ready to progress to the Triple Nickel Lift, we will generally take them there before our main Skyline Lift.
Are Rentals included with lessons?
Please check the individual product page for details. Helmets are included free of charge for any children under the age of 9.
How long are the lessons?
Two hours.
What time should I arrive for my lesson?
It is very important to be geared up and on time for your lesson.
If you need ski or snowboard rentals, plan to arrive at least 1 hour before your lesson start time. Allow extra time for arrival on weekends and holidays.
Lessons meet 15 minutes prior to the start time. If you arrive more than a half hour late, you may miss your lesson completely.
Check your email the day before your lesson for more specific information from the Snowsports School team.
Where do I go when I arrive at Bluewood?
Need rentals, lift tickets, or have questions about your lesson? Head to The Hub to get everything you need.
All ready for your lesson? Group and Private Lessons meet 15 minutes prior to the lesson start time. Meet at the bottom of the EZ Rider Lift.
What should I wear?
This will depend on the day’s weather. Dress in layers, you can always remove extra clothing if you are too warm.
Layer recommendations:
- Synthetic/wool thermal underwear
- Top with a heavier layer, such as a fleece or sweater
- Insulated and waterproof jacket and snow pants
- Knit hat or helmet
- Mittens or gloves
- Goggles or sunglasses
- Wool/synthetic ski socks
- Sunscreen
Helmets are available for rent. Mittens are warmer than gloves and should be waterproof. Bring a second, dry pair of ski socks to change into at lunch to keep your feet warm.
What should I bring?
As long as you have the right equipment, your access card and have purchased your lessons, you’re all set!
Food and drinks are available on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the lodge.
If you forget an item, Base 4545, our retail shop located on the 2nd floor, sells a variety of equipment.
Will inclement weather cancel lessons?
Lessons for students six and under will be canceled if temperatures fall below 10 degrees. Options to reschedule the lesson or refunds will be available.
Guided Snowmobile Adventures
What are the requirements to ride?
Riders must be 13 years or older. The second rider on a snowmobile can be any age. A valid driver’s license is required.
What if I’ve never ridden a snowmobile before?
No problem! Our guides specialize in leading novice riders. They will provide you with a safety briefing and operating instructions before the tour.
What should I wear?
Helmets and goggles are included. But you should dress in warm winter layers and snow boots. Snow pants, jackets, and boots are available to rent if needed.
Where do tours start?
Tours meet in the snow park just before you turn toward the Bluewood parking lot.
Do I need a parking permit?
Yes. Since you’ll be parking in the snow park, you’ll need to purchase a parking pass, which you can purchase here.
General Questions
Lift Access: Ticket and Pass Information
What is the Bluewood Access Pass?
Starting this year, every person on the mountain will receive a reusable and reloadable RFID access card that will hold all of your lift tickets, season passes, lessons, and rentals and can be used for all on-mountain purchases.
Every skier/rider must have their own BAP and are purchased online and registered with a guest’s profile. All guest information is stored securely, strictly private, and not accessible to other guests or employees without permission.
Keep this card in a pocket alone, away from other items such as cell phones, credit cards, or other tickets and passes.
Where do I Buy One?
You Can purchase your card through the online store as well as create an account online at store.bluewood.com. If you need help walking through the checkout process, you can reference our season pass purchasing walkthrough here.
What is RFID?
RFID, or Radio Frequency Identification, is a technology that encodes digital data. This enables users hands-free access to lifts, and by reusing the card, guests can reload products onto the same RFID card and skip the ticket window.
Who needs an RFID Access Pass?
Everyone who wants to get on the lift! Whether you’re a season pass holder or only visiting for the day, you’ll enjoy the convenience of an RFID card.If you don’t have a pass, you’ll still purchase a card for the season (one-time $5 fee), then load day tickets or money to the card whenever you’re ready to come up!
Where and when do I pick up my Access Pass?
Pick up your new RFID card on the mountain when the season starts.
Where should I carry my Access Pass?
Anywhere it’s not going to get lost: your wallet, a zipped-up pocket, etc. This year, you will not have to stop and have a lift operator scan your pass. All passes will have RFID and will be scanned automatically before you get on the lift. Be sure not to have your card right next to your phone, as it will block the RFID signal and won’t be scanned automatically.
What if I lose or damage my pass?
Fret not! Replacement access passes are available at Guest Services on the 3rd floor for a $5 replacement fee.
Can someone else use my Bluewood Access Pass?
No, all access passes and products are non-transferable
Can I proceed directly to the lift with my season pass?
Yes!
How can I give a season pass as a gift?
Buy a gift card for the value of a pass, or simply fill out the season pass information online. We can help you through the process if you have any problems. Give us a call at 509-382-4725 – we’d love to help!
How do I make a purchase for a minor?
That’s easy! Create an account for yourself since you will be signing the documentation, then follow the steps to “Add Guest” for each pass holder.
If I’m buying season passes for someone else, is the price based on the individual’s age at the time of purchase or their age during the season?
Buy a pass or ticket based on the individual’s age at the time of purchase.
Are the Tickets I purchased online mailed?
No. Tickets are not mailed; however, if you already have a BAP, your ticket will be automatically loaded, and you can head straight to the lift. If not, stop by the ticket window with a photo ID to pick up your BAP and have it activated.
What are Bonus Friends + Family Day Tickets?
These are bonus tickets you receive when purchasing a 23-24 season pass during our Super Tier, Tier 1, or Tier 2 sales that can be given to friends and family to redeem. Bonus tickets are valid once the new 23-24 season begins. No blackout dates!
Are there any blackout dates?
Nope!
Does Bluewood offer a military discount?
Yes, active and retired US Military members who present a valid ID will receive a discounted day ticket.
How do I redeem the buddy pass voucher codes received with a season pass?
Our pass vouchers can be redeemed at the ticket counter.
Refunds
What is the Ticket and Pass refund policy?
All season pass products, lift tickets, and Access Cards are nonrefundable.
What is the Snowsports School refund policy?
- All Multi-Week Programs are nonrefundable and non-transferable.
- Snowsports School private and group lessons are eligible for the following refunds:
- 50% if canceled one day in advance
- No refund for day-of cancellations
- A cancellation of a Snowsports School Product due to personal illness/injury within 24 hours of a lesson start time may be eligible for a full refund; however, Bluewood reserves the right to request medical documentation confirming the personal illness/injury.
- Changes or cancellations can be made in advance of a lesson date by emailing Guest Services at info@bluewood.com
What is the policy if Bluewood closes for the day?
Don’t worry; Bluewood will make it right.
About the Mountain
What is your operating schedule?
You can view the operating schedule at bluewood.com/schedule. It will provide you with the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding our operating days/hours.
What is Vintner’s Ridge?
Now included with every season pass purchase, Vintners Ridge is truly a unique experience. Ride the Skyline Express lift up the mountain, then hitch a ride on the Vintners Ridge Cat to go shred into the beautiful black diamond backcountry of Bluewood. Recommended for experienced and advanced skiers/riders only. On new snow days of about 4+ inches, Vits Cat will be operating on weekends (as long as it isn’t down for maintenance), and when the stars align, we may be able to have it run during the week. Ski Patrol also needs to clear it for avalanche and serviceability. If the Cat is not running, it can/will be open for hiking after patrol is able to open the main mountain and get over to clear it. The crew shoots for this to be done by 10 am, but depending on staffing and other obligations, this opening time can be delayed.
Can I use my drone?
Bluewood prohibits the operation or use of unmanned aerial systems, or drones, by the general public – including recreational users and hobbyists – without prior written authorization from the resort. Please see our drone policy for further information.
Do you need an Access Pass to use the EZ Rider on the beginner’s hill?
Yes, you will need a lift ticket or a season pass to use the EZ Rider.
Do you allow uphill skiing/skinning without using the chairlift?
We are currently working on an uphill route that would be available for use from 7:00 – 9:00 am. Additionally, some Night skinning events may take place as well. Working out the details and operational logistics to ensure no traffic is interfering with cats on the hill, ski patrol work, etc… Stay tuned and hopefully we can get something activated soon. Maybe next season.
Do you have a shuttle service?
We only have a shuttle service from Lot A to Lot B on the mountain.
What/when is Toyota Free Ski Friday?
Drive a Toyota up to Bluewood on specific day(s), and the driver skis free! Keep an eye on our events calendar and get on our email list (at the end of this page) for the latest updates.
Employment and Other
Can I work at Bluewood?
We’re always looking for new team members and accepting applications online now. Benefits include a free Bluewood season pass, discounts on food and retail items, snow breaks to enjoy time on the mountain, and a mountain exchange program that allows you to ski or ride at other participating resorts for free or at deeply discounted rates. How does the IndyPass work?
The Indy Pass is both a physical and cloud-based pass that gives you two free lift tickets and a third discounted day at each one of their Partner Resorts.
If you’re visiting with the IndyPass, you’ll just need an account and RFID, which you can purchase online or on the mountain. Then just check in at guest services to pick up your RFID!

Does Bluewood offer cross-country skiing?
No, sorry!
Does Bluewood offer camping or RV camping?
Yes, camping is $10 a night, and we have a 4-night max.
We have 15 designated RV spots which are generally first come first serve. (RV must be less than 32 feet)
If you are a standard truck camper, you can overnight along the side of the parking lot outside of the designated areas, we just ask that by morning, cars are available to park right next you.
Once parked, in the morning, check in at Guest services and let them know your make and plate.
