Tucked deep in the Blue Mountains, far from lift lines, traffic, and the usual resort scene, you’ll find us – a mountain staying true to its roots while building for generations to come.
If you’re bringing the family, we’ve got lessons, camps, and programs built to help the next generation fall in love with the mountain. If you’re here to charge, we’ve got you too. Deep snow, cat skiing, steep trees, good people, and a mountain that still feels like a mountain.
You’ve found us online. Now all that’s left is to come see what some of the best tree skiing in the PNW is all about.
This is where you’ll find everything you need to plan your day and make the most of your time at Bluewood. Explore upcoming events, lessons and camps, trail information, Vintner’s Ridge Cat details, places to stay, and a few insider tips to help you find your way around and have the best time possible on the mountain.
We’re tucked about 21 miles outside of Dayton, Washington in the heart of the Blues. Four-wheel drive helps on snowy days, but our crews work hard to keep the road clear and get you safely to the mountain.
When snow starts stacking we’ll post road condition on our instagram story so you can check conditions before you head up!
The best way to score you tickets is online before you head up to the mountain. When you buy online you can take advantage of our online pickup.
If you want to keep it simple and purchasing at the ticket window when you arrive works too. Either way, we’ll get you squared away and headed for the lifts.
The Hub is for all things rental gear. Ski and snowboard packages, poles, helmets, demos and more. Save time by reserving online ahead of your visit and help guarantee gear is available to rent.
Forgot something at home or need a little work done? The Hub also rents individual items and can help with waxing and repairs.
From Magic on the Mountain and our end-of-season BASH to the Mountain Golf Tournament, Toyota Free Ski Friday, Token Hunts, wine tastings, live music, and more, there’s always something happening at Bluewood. Check the calendar and plan your trip around what’s coming up.
Follow us on Instagram for event schedules, mountain updates, and all the latest happenings!
Whether you’re clicking into skis for the first time or looking to take the next step, we’ve got options to help you progress. Explore private and group lessons, kids camps, mens and women’s workshops, and youth programs designed to build skills, confidence, and more fun on the mountain.
Not sure where to start? Check out our lesson and program options to find the right fit for your age, ability, and goals.
Need a break between laps? Grab lodge classics like burgers and fries, or go for a freshly made pizza, teriyaki bowl, or salad. Kick back at the Surf Yurt with a drink, warm up by the fire pits on the patio, or head into the lodge bar for tacos and time with your crew.
Whether you’re fueling up or winding down, there’s a spot to settle in and enjoy the mountain off the snow.
Being off the beaten path has its benefits – fresh lines stick around longer and the good pockets don’t get found as fast. Check our conditions page to see if the Vintner’s Ridge Cat is running, dip into the trees – we’ve been told they’re some of the best in the PNW – and don’t be afraid to explore.
Or ask a local. They might point you toward a favorite hit, a line you should hike, and if you’re lucky, one of the real honey holes.
Parking at Bluewood is free, with our Main Lot and Lot B available on busy days. If the Main Lot fills, use the drop-off zone by The Hub, then head to Lot B and catch the complimentary shuttle back to the base area.
Want to stay the night? Vehicle camping is available right on the mountain for RVs, vans, trucks, and cars – just head to our online store to reserve your spot.
If you’ve made it this far, chances are we’ll see you on the mountain soon. Skip checking the website every day and join the Bluewood Crew to get deals, conditions, events, powder alerts, and more delivered straight to your inbox.
Pick what you want to hear about, and we’ll take care of the rest. Bonus points if you follow us on Instagram and Facebook – you might even spot yourself ripping after a day in the Blues.
We’re stoked to have you in our neck of the woods. If you’ve got questions, need a local recommendation, or want a little help planning your Bluewood days, reach out anytime at info@bluewood.com or give us a call. Our crew is always stoked to point you in the right direction!
If you want to stay closest to the mountain, Dayton is the move. It’s about 21 miles, or 30 minutes from Bluewood and has several lodging options right in town. You’ll also be close to a handful of local restaurants and supplies you might  need before heading back up the mountain!
If you want to turn your Bluewood trip into a full weekend, Walla Walla is a great home base and where plenty of the Bluewood crew find themselves while they’re off the mountain relaxing. Walla Walla is a great spot to find over 100+ local wineries, live music, farm to table food, and plenty of quaint hotels, and BnB’s around town!
Don’t just show up, take a few laps, and call it good. Get into the trees! Some of Bluewood’s best lines and deepest powder stashes are tucked off the groomers. Make your way to the Surf Yurt for a mountain top stop, check with our crew to see if the Vits Cat is running, and keep an eye on our schedule and socials for events happening while you’re here.
